Solara Haus
Residential Project
The Vision
Southern Utah's intense sunlight and wide temperature swings call for a careful balance: generous natural light, considered solar exposure, and comfortable places to gather throughout the day.
The Result
Solara Haus is experienced in changing light. As the sun moves across St. George, the home's exterior takes on a different character, from bright desert afternoons to the softer tones of evening. Expanses of glazing visually connect outdoor gathering spaces with the rooms beyond, while overhangs and shaded edges bring balance to the composition.
A measured relationship between glass and shade makes the transitions between inside and outside feel deliberate.
